Description
BlackBerry Master Control Program (MCP) is a power tool for BlackBerry devices designed for moderate to advanced users.

With MCP you can easily load/save/erase any module you want, take screenshots of your device, turn the radio on or off, synchronize the time on your device to your PC, reset to factory settings (remove IT policies), perform a handheld wipe... and tons of other cool stuff!

MCP can perform all possible combinations of Java Loader commands and options via an intuitive yet easy to use 32-bit Windows GUI (graphical user interface).

MCP offers a full GUI for managing and optimizing any BlackBerry operating system that is installed on your computer, including the ability to install a selected OS without having to uninstall other OS's first. All selections/operations are performed in real time and the GUI provides instant "live" feedback on the current state of the OS you are preparing to install. You can switch between MCP and CrackMem with no adverse effects.

I have been (lightly) messing around with some games lately and wanted to post some information for everyone.

Enemy Territory Quake Wars (ETQW) works great in Windows and Linux (with some kernel tweaks). More information about the linux client for ETQW can be found in the next news section (below).

Quake III (Threewave Arena) also works well in Windows and Linux.

My Unreal Tournament III (UT3) Collector's Edition tin box is still sealed because Epic Games still has not released the linux client that they promised would be released shortly after the game was released. To this date, there is no official announcement other than it is still "stuck in legal".

I will be installing Steam later today and hope to get Team Fortress working in Linux.

Anyway, I have been playing with a lot of other games as well and recently read a review that included all of the titles I've been playing with, and more.

Most of these games work in both Windows and Linux.

3D Shooters...

Comparison of Free Software Shooters

ZDOOM / ezQuake / EGL / Open Quartz / OpenArena / Cube

Sauerbraten / Tremulous / Warsow / World of Padman

Nexuiz / Planet Arena / Dark Horizons - Lore Invasion

Others...

Armagetron / Chromium B.S.U. / DXX Rebirth (Descent) / Frets On Fire

Frets On Fire allows you to rip songs from your PS2 Guitar Hero 2 and 3 discs, or you can download some song packs using most or the popular torrent search sites (no hints).

Loki Games is now closed, but can still be downloaded from a few sites. It works fine on 32-bit Linux, but will not work at all on 64-bit.

meh.

Damn Small Linux (DSL)

Want to check out Linux without too much trouble?

Want to have a Linux distro running on your hard drive or on your flash drive?

I have added some decent packages to the SODPIT Downloads page (PortableApps Section) that allow you to run Linux from your hard drive or from a flash drive. These packages run inside of Windows and also work with PortableApps in case you want DSL on your PA Menu.

Damn Small Linux 3.4 / Linux 2.4.26 i686

Damn Small Linux 4.0 RC4 / Linux 2.4.31 i686 <- Updated 9/18/07

All you have to do is make sure that there are no spaces in the directory where you extract the files.

Welcome to the new SODPIT.COM!

The new SODPIT.COM is now ready!

Alternate versions of this site: Redneck / Jive / Pimpin'

User registrations are NOW OPEN! Register now to start downloading, uploading and posting!

I spent most of the day today (7/1/07) setting up the Downloads page. Members have unlimited downloads (for now, provided we don't have problems). Guests can only download one file per day. Get signed up if you need to download more files.

The original SODPIT Software Projects site is still available. This site does include screenshots and helpful information, but all of the downloads there are available from the new Downloads page - in fact, the new Downloads page actually offers more files.

mIRC Power Pack downloads are available on the MPP Downloads page. MPP downloads are NOT available on SODPIT.COM.

/// OLDER ///

The original SODPIT.COM built by Smoka and Irishine (screenshot) is gone. The site no longer worked after we switched to our new hosting company which does not support ASP.

The old site looked very nice but was not content driven other than the main page where only SOD members could post news, and the forums area where everyone could talk to each other - but that feature was broken for almost a year.

The new SODPIT.COM is completely content driven and everyone will be able to post news, images and downloads.

Notice: If you change your theme, make sure that as soon as the new theme loads that you can still see the theme selector. If you do not see the theme selector, click your browser's "back" button immediately and select a different theme... otherwise you will never be able to change it. I have tried to remove all of the problematic themes, just keep an eye on it. The default theme is "Ghostly Chronicles".
